Where do you find your joy?
Is it from attending a church or serving others through charitable works? Is it lost in the pages (or sounds if you prefer audio) of a really good book? Maybe it’s while enjoying a favorite craft, art form, or even television show!
Joy comes from within us, which means there are endless possibilities to where it can be found. Each of us will find it in a place that speaks to us. If we’re really lucky? We’ll meet others who find joy in a similar place!
I’m definitely one of the fortunate ones!! I find joy in creating art with glass. Taking a stained glass class every Thursday night at Holidaze Stained Glass-My Free Spirit allows me to gather with others who share that joy. We all work at our own pace, on our own projects, and delight in checking out each other’s creations and glass choices. Some nights, one or more of us might show up more for the companionship than to work. On Saturdays you can find me at the Blackstone River Glass Center learning the art of fusing glass, with some of the same friends and a bunch of others. Finding those who find joy in something that sparks joy in you, can easily spark joy in and of itself!
Find that thing that speaks to your soul and embrace it! It could be an art form or medium, listening or playing music, reading a book, communing with nature, or anything else that allows you to find the joy within. The more joy we find within, the more joy we can spread to others, and together we can shine the light of joy throughout the world!
